Haverá também nova música de Howard Shore. Detalhes na Reuters e na Zap2it. Infelizmente não veremos o Expurgo do Condado - importante sob os pontos de vista político, ético, ambiental e psicológico! - nem mesmo nessa versão.

New Line announced that the extended version of The Return of the King will contain - at last! - scenes on the death of Saruman, the romance between Éowyn and Faramir, and the confrontation between Aragorn and the Mouth of Sauron. There will also be new music by Howard Shore. Details at Reuters and Zap2it. Unfortunately we will not see the Scouring of the Shire - important from the political, ethical, environmental and psychological viewpoints! - even in this version.
